Poll Sports Adjusted 2020 Dynasty Trade Value Chart (May 5th, 2020)

Welcome in boys and girls! I am here to present the first edition of my your dynasty rankings. If you don’t know me, I am u/PeakedinHighSkool on reddit that posts in-season trade value charts. I use expert rankings and apply two models I created to make robust trade value rankings for all positions. I have been getting requests to create Dynasty Rankings for about 2 years now, but I could never find good source data. Until I found Poll sports that is. With the help of the founder smooth, I have pulled all of YOUR data into a new style of analysis.

Method: But you might ask yourself “PeakedinHighskool, you sexy bastard, how did you do it? Are you some sort of genius?” I am a normal guy like you that fixates on things a little too much and has some decent excel skills. When I got the data from smooth (founder) I instantly realized its value. The real concern was how to parse the data. If you look at the polls, you see a lot of very contextual data that is hard to logic through. The first thing I did was develop a couple models to generate values based on poll results and total votes. Then, I ran these models through a couple prototype spreadsheets and looked at individual poll results to QA/QC against the results. I graphed the results to look for trends in the data and to evaluate correlation. I ended up developing a function that assigns a temp Trade value based on the poll and “averages” it against the database of existing values. Each poll is parsed in chronological order to iteratively adjust the values. The weight of the new values are a function. Of the number of votes and results. The original values are seeded from CBS and FantasyPros Values after being normalized to the same scale. Finally, the results are QC’ed and presented in a graphical format.

Format: These results assume 1 QB, 0.5 PPR, no def, no kicker, no IDP, and typical starting roster. You will have to adjust the values contextually to get Standard and PPR scoring. I can add those options, but I need you all to make more polls on the scoring those scoring formats. I intend to do superflex ASAP, but once again, need more data from you all.

To make these ranks better please create polls for underrepresented players or players that you disagree with. Make sure to vote on as many polls as you can! You can help form these values and make the best trade values we can.
